Rent, return, repeat
Baby gear and toy rental membership that makes parenting more affordable and sustainable.
Loop is a full-service baby gear and toy rental platform that lets parents rent top-rated products by the month instead of buying them outright. Items are delivered fully assembled, cleaned, and packaging-free — and picked up when no longer needed. Each product cycles through 5-10 families before retirement, diverting thousands of pounds of waste from landfills. Founded in 2021 by Henry Vogel (co-founder and Managing Partner of DVx Ventures), Loop launched with $5.6M in seed funding and operates in New York City, the San Francisco Bay Area, and Philadelphia. In November 2022, Ali Weiss — former CMO of Glossier — joined as CEO to scale the brand. Loop also acquired Ottobie in 2022 to expand its toy rental offering. The company raised an additional $1M from LAUNCH in June 2024.
Loop caught our eye as a smart play on the circular economy applied to one of the most wasteful consumer categories — baby gear. Parents spend thousands on items used for months, and Loop turns that into an affordable subscription. With Henry Vogel's DVx Ventures backing and Ali Weiss (ex-Glossier) at the helm, they have the brand-building chops to make renting baby gear feel premium, not compromised.
Discovery signal: DVx Ventures incubation, strong sustainability thesis in a massive ($29B) US baby products market, early traction in premium urban markets
Loop is the only full-service baby gear rental offering end-to-end delivery, assembly, cleaning, and pickup — combined with a curated registry experience that captures parents before their first purchase.
