Originally founded as Mount Locks (a hardware smart-lock company), the company pivoted to a pure software marketplace model targeting the short-term rental industry. Property managers and hosts use Mount to list equipment and local experiences, while guests can discover and book them seamlessly. The platform now features a marketplace of over 40,000 experiences combining rentable equipment, guided tours, and local knowledge. Founded by Madison Rifkin (Northeastern University) with co-founders Rishab Nayak and Zack Martin, Mount participated in MassChallenge and raised funding from General Catalyst and Scribble Ventures.
