Sidewalk delivery, reimagined
AI-powered Level 4 autonomous sidewalk robots delivering food and groceries with zero emissions.
Serve Robotics designs, builds, and operates autonomous sidewalk delivery robots that transport food, parcels, and groceries on public sidewalks. Originally spun out of Uber's Postmates robotics division in 2021, the company achieved Level 4 commercial autonomy โ a first for any autonomous vehicle company โ and has since scaled to 2,000 robots across seven U.S. cities, making it the largest sidewalk delivery fleet in the country. Powered by NVIDIA Jetson compute and equipped with LiDAR, cameras, and ultrasonics, Serve's Gen 3 robots can carry 50 lbs at 11 mph with 48 miles of range. The company went public on NASDAQ (SERV) in April 2024 and has partnerships with Uber Eats, DoorDash, and 7-Eleven, serving 3,600+ restaurant locations.
Serve Robotics caught our attention as the most credible autonomous sidewalk delivery play โ spun out of Uber's Postmates robotics division with deep institutional backing from NVIDIA and Uber. At Seed stage in early 2022, the Level 4 autonomy achievement was already a signal that this team could execute. Four years later, they're publicly traded on NASDAQ with 2,000 robots on sidewalks and partnerships with every major delivery platform.
Discovery signal: Uber/Postmates spin-out with Level 4 autonomy claims, NVIDIA strategic investment, rapid fleet scaling trajectory
Serve is the first autonomous vehicle company to achieve Level 4 commercial autonomy, operating 2,000 robots โ the largest sidewalk delivery fleet in the U.S. โ with major platform partnerships (Uber Eats, DoorDash) and strategic backing from NVIDIA and Uber.
